Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have over it.

mpsctestseries.com is a project owned and operated by Betterwork Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India. This policy applies to all services, content and purchases made on the MPSC Test Series platform.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

The short version

We collect only what we need to deliver your course material and support you — your name, email address and mobile number. We never sell or rent your data, and we never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.

1. Who we are

mpsctestseries.com is owned and operated by Betterwork Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd., having its registered office at 7th Floor, Icon Tower, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra 411045, India. For the purposes of this policy, we are the data controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity and contact data — your name, email address and mobile number, provided when you register, enrol, subscribe to exam alerts, contact us, or purchase a product.
  • Transaction data — the products you purchase, amounts paid, order identifiers and the Razorpay payment reference. We store records of transactions, not payment instruments.
  • Usage data — pages visited, tests attempted, reading progress, and interaction events, used to operate the platform and improve our content.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type and approximate location derived from IP, collected automatically in server logs for security and fraud prevention.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as caste, religion, health or biometric information, and we ask that you do not send such information to us.

3. Payment information

All payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator certified to PCI-DSS Level 1.

  • Your card number, CVV, expiry date, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered directly into Razorpay's secure interface. They are never transmitted to, stored on, or accessible from our servers.
  • We receive only the outcome of a transaction — success or failure — along with a payment identifier, the amount and the payment method type.
  • Razorpay processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy and applicable RBI regulations.

4. How we use your information

  • To create and authenticate your account, including sending one-time passwords (OTPs) for login.
  • To deliver the products you have purchased and grant access to paid content.
  • To send order confirmations, payment receipts and service-related notices.
  • To send exam alerts, notifications and updates that you have specifically subscribed to.
  • To respond to your queries, complaints and refund requests.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, credential sharing and unauthorised access.
  • To analyse aggregate usage patterns so we can improve our content and platform.
  • To comply with applicable legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

5. When we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • Payment processing — your name, email and mobile number are passed to Razorpay to process a transaction and to enable refunds.
  • Service providers — hosting, database, email-delivery and analytics providers who process data strictly on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirement — where disclosure is required by law, a court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.
  • Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition or restructuring, in which case you will be notified and this policy will continue to apply.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required to keep you signed in and to secure your session. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
  • Preference cookies — remember choices such as your light or dark theme.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to help us understand aggregate traffic patterns. These do not identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and accessing paid content.

7. How we protect your data

  • All traffic to and from the Website is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Authentication uses one-time passwords and signed, HTTP-only session cookies; passwords, where used, are stored only as salted hashes.
  • Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
  • Paid content is served page by page through access-controlled endpoints rather than as downloadable files.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Account and purchase records are retained for as long as your account is active, and thereafter for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (currently up to 8 years for financial records).
  • Exam-alert subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Server and security logs are retained for up to 12 months.
  • On a valid deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise data we are not legally obliged to retain.

9. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable Indian law, you may:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or alert messages at any time, without affecting access to products you have already purchased.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email betterworkindia@gmail.com from your registered email address. We respond within 48 hours and complete verified requests within 30 days.

10. Children's privacy

Our paid services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The revised policy takes effect when published on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be notified to your registered email address.
